This article deals with the monetary reform that took place in 1945 in Czechoslovakia. Its aim is to approximate the monetary situation in the country after World War II, analyze the reasons for conducting a currency reform, as well as describe its legal and technical aspects. The present work answers the basic questions of whether the reform was necessary during the post-war period and whether the monetary situation in the restored state was sufficiently regulated.
