Preface

It is my pleasure to offer the reader Volume 15 of Students’ Legal, Administrative and Economic Papers, which this time focuses on economic issues. The authors of the articles contained in this volume are students of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wrocław and also the Department of Economics of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, which clearly demonstrates the growing collaboration between our two universities.
The articles in this volume are based on papers and presentations given at the International Students’ Academic Conference entitled Man, society and the world economy: Problems of the second decade of the 21st century and their solutions, which took place from 6th to 8th December 2013 in the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wrocław, organised by the Institute of Economic Sciences, the Wrocław Branch of the Polish Economic Society and the CEDIMES Institute, Poland, in cooperation with the Students’ Economics Association of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics.
On behalf of the Editorial Board of Students’ Legal, Administrative and Economic Papers and the conference organisers, I would like to offer my warmest thanks to the Board of the Wrocław Technology Park for their assistance and support in organisation and hospitality on the second day of our conference. Their help shows the fruitful cooperation between modern technology centres and academic institutions, such as the Wrocław Technology Park and the University of Wrocław.
The principle of double anonymity precludes the revealing of the identities of the reviewers of the articles, and so, on behalf of the authors and on my own behalf, I wish to thank the distinguished scholars who reviewed the articles contained in this volume. I would like to assure them that all of their valuable comments were accepted and undoubtedly helped to develop the research skills of the young scholars as well as the quality of the material presented in the volume.
I also wish to express my gratitude to the members of the Editorial Commission of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics, and to the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Włodzimierz Gromski, for enabling the series of volumes to be published, and for offering current and future scholars the opportunity to develop their research.
On behalf of the Editorial Board I would like to thank the authors of the reviews included in Students’ Legal, Administrative and Economic Papers in the section entitled “In our masters’ opinion.” This is a great honour for our work, and for our young authors it was a joy and a source of pride to be published alongside such eminent scholars of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics.
I wish to express my warmest thanks to the tutors and supervisors of the authors of the articles, who were the inspirers and sometimes even the first critics and reviewers of the publications. Their contribution is invaluable, and so we emphasise their immense role here. The reader can learn their names thanks to the information “scientific tutor”.
Students’ Legal, Administrative and Economic Papers, which is a biannual publication, owes its form and quality to the diligence of the whole editorial team of the Wrocław University Press. Their work is outstanding, and I am sure that the reader and the authors of the articles will share my view.
We will greatly appreciate any suggestions and ideas regarding the series, and invite you to read on…
On behalf of the Editorial Board
