Abstrakt

The poetics of death descriptionin the work of Sergey Nikolayevich Durylin

The article presents the worldview of one of the leading thinkers of the first half of the twentieth century in Russia, Sergey Nikolayevich Durylin, by describing examples of the description of death in the writer’s work. Based on the works The Bells 1928 and In his own corner 1924–1939, the author shows the influence of the biographical elements of Durylin, on the formation of his artistic thanatology. At the same time, points to cultural associations suffering from the death of a beloved person described as a state close to psychosis, folklore motif of death of a witch, literary “death — a dream” motif and religious repentance before death, perception of eternity. Durylin’s thanatology manifests itself in his perception of the the Last Judgment — a dream about eternal life. The author emphasizes the writer’s identification of death with the vision of a bell as a symbol of eternal life.


Poetyka opisu śmierciw twórczości Siergieja Nikołajewicza Durylina

W artykule ukazano światopogląd jednego z czołowych myślicieli pierwszej połowy XX wieku w Rosji — Siergieja Nikołajewicza Durylina, przedstawiając charakterystykę przykładów opisu śmierci w twórczości pisarza. Na podstawie utworów Dzwony 1928 oraz W swoim kącie 1924–1939 został zaprezentowany wpływ elementów biograficznych Durylina na kształtowanie się jego artystycznej tanatologii. Wskazano przy tym na obecne w opisach śmierci bohaterów asocjacje kulturowe cierpienie z powodu śmierci ukochanej osoby opisane jako stan zbliżony do psychozy, folklorystyczne motyw śmierci czarownicy, literackie motyw „śmierć–sen”, a także religijne skrucha przed śmiercią, postrzeganie wieczności. Tanatologia Durylina manifestuje się w jego postrzeganiu sądu ostatecznego — śnie o życiu wiecznym. Autor podkreśla utożsamienie przez pisarza śmierci z wizją dzwonu jako symbolu życia wiecznego.
