The latest (18th) volume of Neerlandica Wratislaviensia entitled 'Historical Literature from the Low Countries. Texts and Contexts' contains articles written in Dutch, English and German. Topics of the articles include emblematics in the work Emblemata Sacra by Bartholomeus Hulsius, who lived in the 17th century, the satirical and informative journal Amsterdamsche Argus, published in the 18th century, or the last, unknown portrait of Joost van den Vondel, which is in the Jagiellonen University Museum in Cracow. The enrichment of volume with numerous illustrations is particularly remarkable, especially where the text combines literature with other fields of art.
