Abstract

The subject of the study is two works of prose, one written by David Zábranský and the other by Anna Bolavá, who made their literary debut in 2006 and 2013, respectively. The interpretation emphasises the problem of creating a cultural memory and cultural identity under the influence of contemporary tendencies in society and culture. The author of the study focuses on the subversion of a historical “grand narrative” the authors carried out from a peripheral viewpoint by means of their literary texts and on the phenomenon of memory suppression seen against the background of post-humanistic transformation.
