Abstrakt

The specificity and the oddities of Russian erotic riddles

The article is dedicated to the analysis, characteristics and classification of Russian erotic riddles. The author attempts to establish the general rules of construction and properties of the analyzed folklore genre by means of the textological method. The general purpose is finding the essence of the erotic riddle as a folklore genre. The article also attempts to define the role of eroticriddles in the culture space. The author bases her conclusions on rich illustrative material, often taken from archival sources.
