Abstrakt

Lexis of Russian erotic folkore

The main purpose of this paper is to reveal the phenomenon of erotic lexis. On basis of the detailed analysis of texts and rituals of Russian erotic folklore we reach a conclusion, that erotic lexis was the code, which had not – at first – the offensive connotations. This paper constructs the hypothesis of the origins and stages of forming vulgarity in Russian culture.
