Dream — the most realistic existence? Oneiric motifs in Russian women’s prose in the early 20th century Short stories Он and Сны by Evdokia Nagrodskaya
The aim of the present article is to analyze two short stories by Evdokia Nagrodskaya 1866–1930, one of the most famous Russian women writers in the early 20th century. The main characters of both stories overstep the boundary between real and oneiric world easily. Dream and reality coexist in their lives. Nagrodskaya who creates their ventures expresses amodernist view of inscrutable nature of the world.
