Abstrakt

German elements in the Czech vocabulary of Slavonic context

The aim of this article is to point out the potential of the Czech-German issues in comparative Slavonic studies. A brief summary of either the main obtained targets or the persisting open ques-tions contains all kinds of lexical words of German origin in the Czech language, i.e. word-forming method, lexical, semantic and phraseological morpheme for morpheme translations and loanwords. Situation in Czech language is compared with the one in Polish and Russian language.
