The work of Yevgeny Kharitonov as a part of Russian cultural memory

Abstract

The aim of the article is to bring the works of Yevgeny Kharitonov closer, as well as trying to place him in the space of Russian cultural memory. What is more, the reasons why he remains a forgotten writer up to now have been considered. Jurij Lotman’s works concerning cultural mem-ory have been used as the main interpretation source. As a result, of the considerations it may be assumed that Yevgeny Kharitonov’s works remain temporarily forgotten due to changes in the field of Russian cultural memory, as well as processes taking place in both society and in contemporary Russian culture.
