We are happy to present the readers with the next, 41st issue of our journal. This volume includes over a dozen articles on various topics - their authors take a closer look at, inter alia, avant-garde experiments carried out by Letterists, the archival legacy of Orson Welles, films inspired by the works of Bolesław Leśmian, or the communicative aspects of film reviews. Separate analysis covered productions by, i.a., Emerald Fennell, Ang Lee, Juliusz Machulski and Chan-wook Park. The issue also includes reflections on the phenomena of popular culture - sexploitation films, action and crime films or contemporary series. We hope that this diversity, additionally enriched with a multitude of research perspectives chosen by individual male and female authors, will make the latest volume of "Studia Filmoznawcze" interesting and that it will hold our readers’ attention for longer.
