Ukrainian deverbal -ння, -ття nouns: their occurence and syntactical functions in the texts of MS Office 2003 software help files

The article is an outcome of the observations on Ukrainian verbal nouns with the suffixes -ння, -ття, which are present in various structures of MS Office 2003 help files. The purpose of this article is to review the functions the said verbal nouns play in particular constructions as well as to attempt at answering the question of how the quoted data, being the result of writing a rather specific text – both of technical and instruction character, can be related to texts of other types, in which the abstract nouns under discussion were used.
